What is screendance?

ACDA defines screendance as creative work conceived specifically for the digital screen integrating the arts and crafts of cinematography and choreography focused on the dancing body as the primary subject of creative expression.

2025 Screendance Submission Details

Submissions Accepted: May 28 – November 21, 2025

Submission Fees:

• Members: $105 per submission
• Non-Members: $130 per submission
• No submission limit per person or school

Submit your screendance work for adjudication and be considered for Gala Selection. Selected screendance films will be showcased during special Gala Viewings at all ACDA Regional Conferences.

Registration Timeline

• Wednesday, May 28, 2025: Registration opens
• Friday, November 21, 2025: Deadline for screendance submissions registration and payment (Cvent)
• Friday, November 21, 2025: Deadline for screendance submission uploads and info (FilmFreeway)
• Wednesday, January 14 2025: Feedback completed by adjudicators
• Wednesday, January 21, 2025: Gala Concert Announcements
